Description
This aneroid barometer measures the absolute atmospheric air pressure with outstanding accuracy. The precision mechanism features a 5-fold aneroid can set composed of copper-beryllium alloy, providing long-lasting stability.

The aneroid cans show minimal ageing, hysteresis, and no elastic aftereffect. Temperature influences on the can set and transmission system are compensated by a bimetal across the entire measuring range. This enables operations from -30 to +40 °C. The can stroke is transferred to the pointer axis through a fine geared pinion and segment system. All bearing points undergo precision polishing. The smart design ensures very low static friction thanks to well-crafted linkage and bearing points.
Inspired by marine chronometers, essential on a ship's bridge, FISCHER created a limited "Black Edition" of the precision aneroid barometer in 2024. This version features an elegant black lacquered solid wood case. The dial is black, with a brushed stainless steel bezel. The double-edged index hand on the cover glass allows parallax-free readings. Strictly limited to 24 pieces, each has a unique serial number on the type plate. Manufacturing occurs at the FISCHER workshops in the Ore Mountains.
